Shannon Evans is new to southern living as she moved to Fort Mill, SC in 2008 from New York. Her career has given her opportunities that defy fabulous. She was hired into the competitive Walt Disney World College Program straight out of college and resided in Florida for this one year program. It was when Shannon was hired into the elite PAGE program at NBC in New York City that her almost 5-year career took her where she had dreamt of going. It led her from the studios of Saturday Night Live to the Strategic Marketing desks of USA Network, to the powerful Sales department of USA Network. Her passion for writing began when she made the decision to move out of the fast paced NYC lifestyle and head down south for a change. She began her fan page on Facebook called, "What does a stay at home mom even do", as this new lifestyle found her looking for ways to stay busy. It is through this outlet, her talent for words and writing was discovered. Shannon's passion has always been in on-air reporting, and writing will always be a part of her life. Shannon has always had a keen sense for saving money and being smart with a budget. She currently writes in the "Saving Money" section for My Carolina Town where she offers tips and tricks that have been so useful to her own family and friends. Shannon loves being social, traveling the world with her husband, loving on her Boston Terrier "Dexter", and finding creative ways to keep up with her 2-year old daughter.
